Food Forest Design:

Ornamental planting with an edible twist! Gardens Of Eden design and implement ornamental planting with wider value, everything you see is edible!  Our unique combination of methods used in Food Forest Design is the only way to create a Willy Wonka inspired flavour factory in your garden, combining 'grow-your-own' with ornamental garden design theory. Right: some Food Forests we designed and planted, all the gardens pictured produce continual harvests of organic fruit and vegetables from perennial crops and are extremely low maintenance once established.

Havana: The Suburban Micro-Farm

Picture
Do you know what the most intensively cultivated crop is? Its not maize, or wheat. Not tomatoes or potatoes but lawns. Lawns that require intensive maintenance yet provide absolutely nothing for the community or for wildlife. At Havana; a suburban bungalow in St Austell, this illogical cultural norm is being challenged. Lawn is being removed, top soil is applied and what was once grass is being used to grow food! Welcome to Havana, the suburban micro-farm, where crops are grown in the front garden for all to see. What good is a lawn anyway?

The garden was rented and once the tenancy ended it was restored back to how we found it (although slightly improved)!
