Equisetum hyemale planted adjacent to a glass balustrade in the Sub-Tropical Paradise Garden. This planting was selected to act as a vigorous ground-cover, suppressing weeds by out-competing them. This function was essential as the area is extremely difficult to access. E. hyemale compliments the ambience of the wider setting.
