Ecological Jungly Garden

Ecological jungly garden created in Richmond, London. The garden has a jungly aesthetic with additional ecological benefits and a orange/blue complimentary colour scheme. Plants such as; Fatsia polycarpa ‘Green Fingers,’ Agastache 'Blue Fortune' and Ceanothus 'Blue Sapphire' contribute to the aesthetic of the garden but also provide nectar for pollinators. While plants such as; Canna 'happy cleo' and Festuca glauca 'Elijah Blue' provide seasonal interest.

Brief:

​The garden contains two beds with different aspects, so planting has been selected to be tolerant of full sun and semi shade respectfully. Garden is traditional, however new contemporary garden room is being constructed at bottom of garden. Plants have been selected to provide interest in Autumn, Spring and Winter with emphasis on the colour orange as this is a client favourite and blue for a complimentary colour scheme.  Planting currently adopts a semi-jungle aesthetic but this is subject to change depending on client’s approval. Plants have been selected to be tolerant of most soil types and PH levels. All plants are hardy to at least -10c.
